Deliverables

Letter from Kathleen

Hi folks,

Let me clarify a few things regarding what I need from you and why, and then compensation.

A. I am using $$ from the Walton Family Foundation Gift for Academic Support to fund the TLI. The foundation has VERY strict requirements on grant stewardship, so what Joel indicates below about a "deliverable" is the reporting back that is an essential component of the stewarding of the multi-million dollar contribution from the Walton Family Foundation. So what does the report from you need to consist of?

  1. A brief description of the project you created as a result of the training and time spent as a part of the TLI.

  2. How the project will impact your teaching and the learning of your students.

  3. What you learned in the TLI that enabled you to complete this project.

  4. If the project is not complete, what you hope to accomplish to achieve completion.

  5. Your assessment of the TLI – effectiveness, structure, organization… Please include recommendations for changes for future TLIs. This latter information will help us improve for 2012, but it is also a required component of the Grant Stewardship Report – What did we learn about the program this year that will enable us to improve the TLI going forward?

Brief is fine... as long as you respond to the points above.

I need this information from you as soon as possible after the TLI. You can report out to me in a written document or via email, whatever is easier for you. I will then pull what all of you have written together and submit it.

B. Compensation: Joel will be keeping track of the hours you put in during this week. I will use that information to see that you are paid in your July paycheck for you your participation in the TLI.

Any questions about this? Send them my way!

I am excited by the work you will be doing and can't wait to see the projects that will result! Have fun!
